A few of our favorite things about Botox and Dysport at The Skin Routine in Scottsdale, AZ:

* A non-surgical intervention to treating aging and facial anatomy
* Ability to target medical conditions such as migraines, excessive sweating, or TMJ
* Reduces facial lines and wrinkles

Botox and Dysport, known as our “wrinkle relaxers”, are used to help relax muscle movement. For Dysport, you can expect to notice slow onset effects within 3-5 days after treatment. With Botox, you can expect to notice slow onset effects within 5-7 days after treatment. At the 2 week mark for both Dysport and Botox, you will see peak effects that may last for another 4 weeks. During this time, your wrinkle relaxer will be at its strongest performance, resulting in little to no movement. After 12 weeks, you’ll notice movement returning, meaning it’s time to re-up on the tox!

We offer Botox at $12/unit and Dysport at $4.25/unit. Product selection is based upon assessment during your consultation.

What is Botox / Dysport, and how does it work to improve the appearance of my skin?

Botox + Dysport is a cosmetic treatment that involves injecting a purified form of botulinum toxin into the skin. It works by blocking the signals that cause muscles to contract, which can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Botox + Dysport is most commonly used to treat lines on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the eyes.

What are the potential side effects of getting Botox / Dysport and how long do they last?

Potential side effects of Botox include temporary bruising, swelling, and redness at the injection site. Some people may also experience headaches, nausea, or flu-like symptoms. These side effects typically last only a few days, and serious complications are rare.

How long does a Botox / Dysport treatment take and is it painful?

A Botox treatment usually takes only a few minutes, and it is not typically painful. Our medical professional will use a topical numbing cream or ice to help minimize any discomfort.

When will I see results after getting Botox / Dysport, and how long do they last?

You may begin to see the results of your wrinkle relaxer treatment within a few days, although it can take up to two weeks to see the full effect. The results typically last 3-4 months, after which you will need to schedule another treatment to sustain results.

Can Botox / Dysport be combined with other skin treatments, such as fillers or chemical peels?

Yes! We highly recommend combining wrinkle relaxers with other skin treatments to help achieve a more comprehensive rejuvenation of the skin. We’re proud to be a one-stop shop in Scottsdale for injectables and skin treatments for the most optimal results.
